Concept Note

Press Release

The judges will choose one winner from each Commonwealth member state. Originals of the winning art work
Age Requirement: 11 to 23 years of age
The Work Must Be Original:
Copyright: The artist retains all copyrights to their artwork without exception
File Sizes and Formats:
The quality of the images submitted will also play a role in the judging process. It is best if the images submitted are no smaller than 600px.

Judging: Pieces will be judged on originality, artistry, and adherence to the theme
Submission Deadlines: Artworks may be submitted up until midnight Eastern Standard Time on the last day of the submission schedule posted. No artworks will be accepted past the posted deadline.

Timeline

Inaugural Anouncement by St Kitts Nevis Mission at the United Nations
Launching of Competition: August 2023 at UN Heaqdquarters
Deadline for e mail submissions, Judgements and Display of Winning Entries TBD

Media
Any of the following media or techniques may be used:

• Paint (watercolor, tempera, poster, acrylic, etc.)
• Drawing materials (pencil, charcoal, colored chalk, pastels, oil pastels, Colored pencils, markers, etc.)

Format will be of 11" x 24" in drawing image size
Format will be of 16" x 20" in painting on canvas image size
Maximum size including matting is 2" more

Preparing Your Entry:
Artist Information to be posted along with submission.
First Name,Last Name, Age ,Mailing Address, Email,
Category: Category 1: (Ages 11 to 15) Category 2: (Ages 16 to 23)
Once your artwork is completed, you will submit an electronic version of it via email to artofgiving18@outlook.com
Winning artwork should: Be framed with a simple and lightweight matte.

Winners and Honorable Mentions posted online and their matted originals mailed to the CYDC My Way headquarters

Winning entries from all Commonwealth member states will be exhibited at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Opening of exhibit will feature two youth Ambassadors from St. Kitts.
